Season
Three Index
Highlander finally hit its stride in its
third year, with a strong selection of stories from start to finish.
We delved a lot deeper into the back story of Duncan MacLeod, seeing
him in a variety of new and exotic locations. There was the
introduction of reputedly the oldest living immortal in the form of
Methos, initially overshadowed by a dangerous game of cat and mouse
between Duncan and an old adversary, a game that was to dominate the
second half of the season.
Opening narration
(Jim Byrnes)
"He is Immortal, born 400 years ago in the highlands of Scotland.
He is not alone. There are others like him: some good, some evil. For
centuries he has battled the forces of darkness, with holy ground his
only refuge. He cannot die - unless you take his head, and with it,
his power. In the end there can be only one. He is Duncan MacLeod, the
Highlander."
